The main stone of the Duet brooch and necklace is a South Sea pearl that is over 16mm in diameter and almost perfectly round. A selection of Japanese Akoya pearls were selected to complement the main stone. The flawless white pearls have a gentle pink glow. A selection of high-clarity white diamonds are paired with the finest Burmese rubies and pink corundum in traditional pavé settings to create a gradation of red and pink, highlighting the natural brilliance of the stones. The pearls are suspended by delicate and invisible diamond links, while the S-shaped custom brooch is hidden at the back, showcasing the brand’s craftsmanship and the designer’s ingenuity in creating a piece that has two uses.
This piece was inspired by the legendary phoenix, which signifies good luck and harmony, and is also a symbol of a happy marriage. The silhouette of the piece is outlined by abstract feathers, and the vivid and powerful lines show an endless vitality. The 2.44ct Burmese ruby, a symbol of passion, and the pearl, one of the Seven Treasures of Buddhism, are used as the main stones, as if they were carrying an overflow of happiness. They are made even more brilliant by 4.5ct round white diamonds and 0.47ct marquise cut white diamonds complementing them.
